Julia's A23 Style Notes

FWF founder and creative director Julia shares some of her favourite looks from Autumn '23.

The Sofie Shirt

"A classic button down is my reliable go-to item every week. This stripe detail adds an element of print into my otherwise very classic and tonal wardrobe."

The Paloma Dress

"The considered structure and shape of this dress is what makes it a special piece, especially the balloon sleeve and dart detailing at the back. The weighted hemp-cotton fabric composition makes this the perfect little black winter dress (LBWD). I’ll be wearing this with tights and knee high boots when the temperature drops."

The Anais Set

"I love soft dressing, but not to the point of slipping into the bad habit of wearing activewear. I reach for my Anais rib knit set when I’m wanting to feel comfortable, but put together. The perfect set for layering under coats."

The Cameron Shirt

"The weight of the Cameron Shirt makes it feel like a light jacket on warm autumnal days, and will be a great layering piece under knitwear and coats when winter hits."

The Ferne Blazer and Greta Chino Pants

"I’m a big fan of co-ordinated dressing. The brushed cotton gaberdine is super soft yet durable, a hardwearing fabrication that will stand the test of time."

The Scoop Neck Cleo Dress

"I find this new neckline very flattering, so I'm finding myself reaching for this dress a lot during Autumn. I also love that the 100% cotton fabrication allows the dress to skim the body and not hug it. This chocolate melange colour way is also a great addition to my neutral wardrobe."
